Pianist / Keyboardist / Accompanist

Chris is comfortable playing both acoustic piano and keyboard/synthesizer and has experience in several genres. He is also experienced in accompanying vocal and instrumental candidates for HSC, AMEB & Trinity College examinations. Chris is also in demand on the musical theater circuit and has recently finished touring with the Australian production of the musical Cats.

Musical Director / Arranger

Chris is a highly regarded Musical Director/Conductor and has several credits in musical theatre. Highlights include Associate Musical Director on the Australian tours of the musicals Wicked and Cats, Hats Off! 2012 & 2013, Twisted Broadway, No Way To Treat a Lady (Assistant MD), Kiss of The Spiderwoman (Deputy Conductor) and the Australasian premiere of Reefer Madness, starring Australian stage & screen legend Barry Crocker.

Chris also works as a freelance Arranger & Orchestrator and has arranged music for everything from big bands, small jazz ensembles & string quartets to rock bands, medium-size orchestras, and jingles for television and radio.

Transcriptions & Transpositions

Chris has extensive experience in music transcription & transposition. Need an old, messy, hand-written chart tidied up? No problem. Sheet music doesn’t exist for your song? Chris can transcribe it from the recording and provide you with a printed score (hard copy or PDF). The same applies for transpositions – need a song transposed into the key that’s right for you? Chris can transpose your sheet music for you; AND your music stays stored on hard drive so it’s easy to edit in future should you decide to make any further changes.

MP3 piano accompaniment

MP3 piano accompaniment tracks give you the freedom to rehearse, audition or perform with a professional track personally played live by Chris. Also ideal as a teaching aide!
